An Inverted Mold Pewter Teapot by I. Curtiss - SOLD

This beautiful inverted mold teapot was made by I. Curtiss. There is still some debate as to who this maker was. Some believe it is Joseph Curtiss of Troy NY working circa 1827-32. He certainly fits the dates for this design teapot.

This is truly pewter metal rather than the harder britannia metal.

In fine condition metal and mark. This is definitely a beautiful form teapot measuring 7 5/8" to the top of the finial
