A Richard Austin Plate with Lamb & Dove Touch
Richard Austin produced this plate in Boston c-1793-1807. Austin is known for the flatware he produced.
The lamb and dove touchmark on this plate bears a striking resemblance to the lamb and dove touchmark of Townsend and Compton. Townsend and Compton were London Pewterers with a large export market to America.
In very good plus condition with a fine touch. 8 3/8" in diameter
