A Plate by Thomas Danforth Boardman

Thomas Danforth Boardman was the grandson of Thomas Danforth II of Middletown. Boardman's mother, Sarah, was Danforth's daughter.

Trained by two of his uncles, Edward and Samuel Danforth, Thomas Boardman became one of America's most gifted pewterers.

He had numerous employees and several different outlets, Hartford, NYC, and Philadelphia.

This touch is one of his earlier ones and would date c-1804-40's. This plate measures 7 5/8" in diameter and is in fine condition with a few knife marks.
