A Newport Pewter Plate by David Melville. David Melville worked in Newport, Rhode Island from 1776-1793. He is well known for his flatware. He also produced basins and a variety of porringers. At least one mug is known by him.

This 8 1/8” plate is in very good plus condition with mint “as struck” touches.
