A Single Reed Rim Pewter Plate by Blakeslee Barns

A 7 7/8” single reed rim plate by Blakeslee Barns, Philadelphia 1812-17. Barns produced only flatware. No known examples of hollowware currently are known by this maker.

Barns worked in the same building in Philadelphia as Thomas Danforth III when he was working in that city. It is believed that they had some common production.

This plate is in near fine condition with mint touches.
