Old English Handle Porringer by Thomas Danforth Boardman and Sherman Boardman. This porringer is in nearly mint condition with a mint touchmark. The bowl measures 4” in diameter.
This partnership of two brothers began in 1810 and continued until around 1860. This piece however dates circa 1810-1830’s. After the 1830’s the demand for porringers ceased. Boardman’s day book in the collections of the Connecticut Historical Society reflect this.
