An Unmarked American Mid 19th Century Pewter Syrup - SOLD

An Unmarked American Mid 19th Century Pewter Syrup

Unmarked American Pewter Syrup. This syrup pitcher is typical of those made in Connecticut during the mid-nineteenth century by the Meriden Britannia Company and other firms. The design is simple with an attractive double “C” design handle and tapered body with a flared base. The “shell” design thumbpiece on the lid makes opening the top of the syrup easier.

The syrup is in near fine condition, it measures 6 1/8” tall to the top of the finial.
