A Handsome "Double Belly" Boardman Pewter Coffeepot
This handsome "double-belly" Boardman Pewter Coffeepot was made by Boardman & Co. Although the touch indicates New York as its place of manufacture, it was undoubtedly made in Harford, Connecticut.
Boardman & Co, a partnership between Lucius Hart and Thomas D. Boardman was in existence between 1822-1827. This coffeepot design is found marked Boardman & Co New York and Boardman & Hart.
Measuring 12" tall to the top of the finial, this is an impressive form. The exterior of the pot is in very fine condition with a few minor dents to the bottom of the spout. The interior has some etching. The pot retains its original bone finial button.
