A 10" Pair of Antique American Pewter Candlesticks by Henry Hopper
Henry Hopper produced pewter in New York City from 1842-1847 including this handsome pair of 10" tall candlesticks.
Hopper also produced chambersticks, "engine turned decorated" candlesticks, water pitchers with and without lids.
He also produced 12" tall candlesticks by adding an extra "spool" section on top of the shaft of candlesticks like this pair.
This pair is in very good plus condition with very fine touch marks. The bobeches are modern replacements made exactly like the originals, as they are cast in moulds and lathe turned. These are frequently missing.
