This beautiful pewter dish although unmarked is either from the shop of Israel or Oliver Trask. It is made of cast pewter and has a knurled decorative band on the rim.
The rim has a beautiful upward curve that enhances the overall design.
The face side is in fine condition the back has some shallow etching due to some oxidation. A very attractive piece that would go well with a Trask Flagon.
These dishes have been found accompanying English Export Communion Sets. 10 3/4" diameter. Note on the back of the rim where the turning tool caught the metal and incised a line going off toward the edge. A "goof" that didn't show on the face.(ON HOLD)
