A Scarce George Richardson Shaving Mug - SOLD

A Scarce George Richardson Shaving Mug

George Richardson of Cranston Rhode Island 1818-1845 made this shaving mug a scarce form in pewter. These are found with other types of handles and some are known with the spout mounted on the side of the body rather than on the front like this example.
This piece is in very good condition and with a fine touchmark. It measures 4 1/4“ tall to the top of the lip. These are quite scarce and this is the first example we have ever had.
