A Bronze Spoon Mold that Makes Wonderfully Decorated Spoons - SOLD

This heavy bronze mold produces a "dog nose" handled spoon. This type of mold dates from the early 18th century.

This example is engraved on the interior with highly decorative designs producing raised cast decoration on the face of the handle and the back of the bowl of the spoons cast therein.

The mold measures 9" long producing a spoon 8" long.

The mold weighs over 3 1/2 pounds. In fine condition
