An American Sundial - SOLD

This 4 1/2" sundial has the cast initials "I.I" on the face surface. This is likely from New England and would date sometime during the 18th century. The maker is unknown.

This example is in fine condition for a sundial. Frequently they are in poor condition especially if they had been placed on a post in a garden.

This example likely was inside on a window sill. There are three holes where this had been affixed to a surface as is typical.
