This pewter swivel lamp is designed to either sit on a table be hung from a wall or carried as a chamber lamp. These are related to gimbal lamps that have two rings with axis at 90 degree angles to each other so the font always finds a level plane. The gimbal type is for use on ships.This lamp is suited for the home.
The back of the lamp has a brass ring to suspend the lamp from a nail. The saucer base has a finger ring to facilitate usage as a chamber lamp.
The lamp is in fine condition. One of the burner caps has a slight melt at the bottom from someone holding it too long over the flame before extinguishing the flame.
This lamp measures 5 1/2" to the top of the burner caps.
