This unmarked gill mug measures 2 11/16" tall to the lip. It is most likely from shop of Samuel Danforth of Hartford, CT 1795-1816.
The Boardmans also made these gill mugs but the handles are generally different as is the workmanship.
Few examples are known marked by Samuel Danforth.
Note the handle is cast in place in the same manner as porringer handles were. There are linen marks both at the upper and lower handle junctions. In very good plus condition
