The 18th century Connecticut pewterers in Middletown and Hartford produced some fine and well designed examples of quart mugs.
This unmarked example comes from the Middletown molds used by the Danforths. It is in good condition showing wear. The bold ball terminal handle gives a nice balance to the piece. Dating circa 1755-1790's. This is priced at a fraction of what a marked example of the period would bring.
