An Inverted Mold Teapot by James Putnam
Inverted Mold Pewter Teapot by James Putnam of Malden, Massachusetts. Putnam’s working dates 1830-1835. Putnam produced a wide variety of tea and coffeepots. He also produced lamps and candlesticks and water pitchers.
This pot is in fine condition inside and out. Lathe marks can be clearly seen. The spout and handle are hollow cast and were finished by scraping the exterior surface these marking show quite clearly.
The pot measures 7 ¾” to the top of the finial. The touch is a perfect impression
