American Pewter > Teapots, Coffeepots, Pitchers & Sugar Bowls
An Unmarked One Cup Boardman Pewter Teapot with Copper Bottom - SOLD
This one cup pewter teapot is from the same set of molds as the other on this list. There are two differences, however. First this pot was made with a tinned copper bottom. This allowed it to be used on a stove without melting, so long as it contained an adequate amount of liquid. Secondly, this example has an all metal finial.
With the addition of these two changes this piece likely dates circa 1850-1865.
In fine condition, this piece measures 5 5/8" to the top of the finial.
