A Near Mint Thomas Danforth III Pewter Deep Dish - SOLD

This 11 1/2" pewter deep dish is the product of the shop of Thomas Danforth III while in Philadelphia. Danforth worked in the same building as Blakeslee Barns and it is likely they also shared some molds.

This dish is outstanding in condition and is close to being virtually new. The touchmarks are heavily impressed and the strike of his "large" eagle mark is near as fine as we have ever seen.

This dish was in my Father, Wendell Hilt's, collection. This would be a fine addition to any collection.
