A Plate by Joseph Danforth Sr. - SOLD

This 7 7/8" plate is by Joseph Danforth, Sr. who worked in Middletown, CT from 1780 until his death in 1788 at the age of 30.

The quality of his work was equal to his father, Thomas Danforth II. There is no telling what Joseph's production would have been had he not died so young.

We are fortunate as collectors to have a considerable number of pieces produced by this talented individual.

In very good plus condition metal and marks.
