A Spectacular Hiram Yale Plate - SOLD

A Spectacular Hiram Yale Plate

This 8 3/8" plate was made by Hiram Yale of Wallingford, CT. Yale is best known for tea and coffeepots as well as some excellent communion ware.

Yale produced pewter on his own from 1822-31. He was in partnership with Charles Yale as the firm of H. Yale & Co. from 1824-35.

Plates by this maker are quite scarce. This example is in virtually new condition. All lathe marks show clearly on the front and back of the plate.
The touchmark is "mint as-struck" on the center of the back
