A Near Mint Pewter Plate by Love

Near mint 8 3/8” single reed rim plate by “Love”. The “Love” touches were used over a long period of time beginning in the mid 18th century and continuing into the early 19th.

This plate would certainly date from the 1790’s to the first quarter of the 19th century. With the strike of the “Love” along with the crowned X or Serrated London mark it is possible this is the product the shop of John Brunstrom.
Whomever made this it is in nearly mint condition. Lathe marks show on the face and back surfaces
