An Antique American Pewter "Smooth Rim" Plate by Love - SOLD

This 8 7/16" diameter plate was made by "Love" a group of pewterers working in the Philadelphia area from the last half of the 18th century into the first quarter of the 19th.

This plate has a "smooth rim" in that it does not have an incised "bead" at the outer edge of the rim. Love made plates both ways.

This plate is in fine condition both metal and touchmark.
