A Pair of 18th Century Iron Dividers

This small pair of iron dividers were crafted by a skilled ironsmith or blacksmith. The workmanship is of a quality that would indicate the makers possibly was a gunsmith.

The hinge is a five part hinge and fits tightly so as to keep the dividers in a "true" position when in use.

In fine condition measuring 4" long, likely American.
