This fine Thomas Danforth Boardman Pewter Deep Dish was made in Hartford, Connecticut sometime between 1810 and the 1830's or 40's and has "gentle nicks" in the well indicating this was used as a collection plate in a church.
This dish also has the touch of Thomas Boardman and his brother Sherman (TD&SB) with whom he entered into a partnership in 1810 and continued until around 1860. The assignment of the 1830's as an "end" dates for this dish is due to the use of his early full name eagle mark, that apparently he discontinued using this touch by then.
In very fine condition measuring 13 1/4" in diameter, a fine addition to a collection of flatware or Church Pewter.
