Wonderful Decorated 18th Century Pewter Tablespoon - SOLD

This English pewter tablespoon is of mid-18th century design-marked LONDON with an additional mark undoubtedly the main touchmark.

Unfortunately this second mark is not struck strongly enough and add to that some wear so I was unable to determine the maker.

The face of the handle has a beautiful cast decoration at the end of the handle. The bowl still shows scrape marks on the back of the bowl.

Early pewter spoons are quite uncommon. The overall length is 7 5/8"
