1/2 Pint 19th Century Pub Mug - SOLD

This 1/2 Pint pub mug dates from the mid nineteenth century. It was made for use in English pubs. These are found in pint and quart sizes as well.

There a many different forms and makers of these pub mugs. Use of pewter mugs and measures was banned in the mid-twentieth century.

Frequently these have inspector's marks indicating specific town usage.

In fine condition with a few spots on one side. 3 1/2" tall to top of handle
