A Gill Glasgow Pewter Measure - SOLD

Scottish Glasgow measures are found in half gill to quart capacity. This style was produced during the second half of the 19th century.

This example is the mate to the half-pint example on this site. It is in very fine condition inside and out. Marked A. Ross, likely an inspector of weights and measures. The piece measures 4 1/8" tall to top of thumbpiece.
