A Near Mint Pewter Export Tankard by Allen Bright

Allen Bright was a Bristol, England pewterer working from 1748-1763. It is believed his wife, Ann continued the business as Ann Bright & Co until 1768.

Bright had a substantial export market to the Colonies, shipping mugs tankards and flatware.
This example of one of his tulip tankards is a pristine an example that can be found. 7 11/16" to the top of the thumbpiece. (W&P)
