A Quart Pewter Export Mug Used as a Measure - SOLD

This "CM" stamped quart Pewter Export Mug was made by Edgar Curtis & Co. of Bristol England sometime during their years of production from 1793-1801.

The mug is stamped "CM" for Commonwealth of Massachusetts along with "WC" for Worcester County.

This mug was discovered in Maine. It is in fine condition save for a few scratches along one side. The mark and stampings are clear and well struck.

The "CM" marking is "proof positive" of use in the States. The mug measures 6" tall to the lip.
